Wolfy is a male blue point Birman. He was born in October of 1999, with a heart murmur and a disease called Tetralogy of Fallot.

Since Wolfy was just a kitten, he seemed to know that he could not play like the other cats. He would try, but would get a little bit tired and then he would go lay down and rest. He has always known how to take care of himself. Occasionally he has sneezing fits, and I have no idea what causes this. However, I did recently speak with another women who has a cat with the same heart disease, and she told me that her cat sneezed often as well. So perhaps it is related to the disease? I have only heard of about 4 other cats that have this disease. I know there are many more, but I have only personally heard of 4.

Wolfy has always loved to eat, especially people food, like chicken and steak and even macaroni and cheese, which sometimes he will get very tiny pieces of. He also loves tiny bits of Wheat Thins with a little of that squeeze cheeze stuff.

Before getting neutered (yikes!) Wolfy had to have a special ultrasound heart x-ray so the vet could find out exactly what was wrong with him prior to putting him under anesthesia. This is when we found out exactly what Wolfy had. I scheduled his neuter appointment, and thankfully he got thru his surgery just fine. I am so thankful that I have a great vet that has always taken the best care of him.

Wolfy is truly a wonderful cat and we have no regrets at all about adopting him. We love him unconditionally. He will always be safe with us, and taken care to the best of our abilities. I have vowed to never let him live in pain and agony. He is a happy cat that loves to eat, and be brushed, and play with his siblings. He seems very happy and content. He has some bad days where he seems tired and has trouble breathing. On these days he sleeps in his window seat and gets lots of kisses.

Wolfy is a little heartbreaker, and I know that he will leave a pawprint on my heart that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Each day with him is a gift, and I only hope that I can give him in return the love and happiness he has given me.
